6-7:30pm, Foxtrot - Beginning Level 1
May 8th - May 29th

Often referred to as the dance of Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers, Foxtrot is the "staple" of ballroom dances and is probably the most well know and most versatile of dances. Because American Social Foxtrot has two rhythms (Slow Quick Quick, and Slow Slow Quick Quick) it allows one great mobility on the floor if there is room, but it can also accommodate a crowded or small floor, too. It's also a great "wedding dance". The basic patterns will have you up and dancing right away.
($50/person - 4/wks)
7:30-9pm, Advanced Level Class
This is an Ongoing Class.

Rhythms change every few weeks depending on the interest of the class participants. Emphasis on proper technique, lead/follow, framing, footwork, timing and execution. Partners are required for this class.
($30/couple - per/class)

6 - 7pm, Introduction Medley Classes
May 9th - May 30th

A crash course introduction to three different dances each week. If you want to just "sample" the many different dances, this class is for your. These Medley classes will help you decide what regular classes you want to attend. It's a great way to Just Get Started! Please note: These classes will introduce three different dances each week

May 9th - Rumba, Tango, West Coast Swing
May 16th - ChaCha, Hustle, Basic Swing
May 23rd - Night Club 2-Step, Salsa, Waltz
May 30th - East Coast Swing, Samba, Foxtrot
($10/person - each week)

7-8:30pm, ChaCha - Beginning Level 1
May 9th - May 30th

ChaCha is flirtatious but not as intimate as the Rumba. It's more fun, relaxed and carefree. The "slow" in Rumba is replaced with a faster "side-together-side" (Cha-Cha-Cha). The rhythm is accented by strong, compelling percussions, making it easy to identify in the music and difficult to sit still when you hear it! The Cha-Cha is a spot dance characterized by a rhythmic "tic" in the upper body, "Cuban motion" or "Latin action" of the hips and legs, and a lot of energy. Don't let that scare you off, though! The dance itself is easy to learn. Everybody can learn the ChaCha and they should.
($50/person - 4/wks)

6-7:30pm, Night Club 2-Step, Beginning Level 1
May 12th - June 2nd

Night Club is a slower dance that lends itself very well to slower contemporary music, such as Lady in Red and Breath Again. This is a simple, but beautiful dance that takes the place of "rocking in a circle" to those slower, romantic songs.
($50/person - 4/wks)
7:30-9pm, West Coast Swing Continues- Beginning Level Level 1
May 12th - June 2nd

This is a continuation class for those currently in a West Coast class or for those who are wanting a review and added material, styling and technique. Also known as "Sophisticated Swing", West Coast Swing is the Swing of choice for many serious Swing dancers. Unlike the other Swings, West Coast is not rotational in nature. It's slotted, with the dance moving back and forth on a "track". This track makes the men's and ladies patterns different from each other, but it also allows for greater creativity between the partners. It's a bit challenging at first, but once you get it, you'll never look back!
($50/person - 4/wks)

Argentine Tango is wherer we get our Social American style of Tango. Experience the Passion, the Mystic, the Romance of Tango in its original form with guest instructor extrodinaire, Rachael Lidskog.

A professional dancer, singer, and choreographer, Rachel has been teaching dance since 1989. She has traveled the globe for training, teaching, and competing in destinations such as Argentina, Cuba, Canada, France, Holland, and Sweden, as well as the US.

Rachel is a firm believer that everyone who dreams to dance can, and should, do so, regardless of perceived limitations such as age, natural ability and the proverbial “two left feet.” Rachel desires to share the beauty and benefits of dance with anyone who has ever wanted to float across the floor or felt the need to pulse out a rhythm and tap their happy feet. Her warm and genuine teaching style encourages people of all ages and abilities to simply show up, and begin to experience the joy of dance.
